Welcome to the blog, and good job getting out there despite the sluggish feeling. And of course, congratulations on quitting smoking! That is one tough habit to quit. Running is a much better addiction!

Hi thanks for the welcome!

Welcome! I hope you have found that running and living a healthy lifestyfe is much more rewarding than smoking, and it is a lot cheaper! Congrats on quitting smoking and doing something more beneficial for you and your family, I know that can be hard to do! The blog is a good place to gain support and motivation.

Feelin pretty good!! I want to get 40 miles in this week, I have been pretty lazy this month and it's time to get back on track. I normally prefer to run in the morning, but with the weather getting colder I find it harder to drag myself out of my warm and cozy bed at 4:30 am; however, running at night in December is always fun since you get to check out all the Christmas lights!!

Welcome to the blog! You have totally made some major accomlpishments in the last 18 months! Finishing a marathon and quitting smoking!!! Yahooo for you! I run at night in the summer but I've never thought about how fun it would be to run around looking at the lights at night. Sometimes I get a little nervous alone at night in the dark but I may have to try it!!

From Erica on Tue, Dec 18, 2007 at 18:30:22

Hi Michelle! Sometimes the Christmas lights are the only thing that gets me out there!Running at night I sometimes get spooked, but for the most part I always run in the same area and it's a pretty quiet residential area. I am usually limited on the time I have to run, and I am not that fast of a runner so to get in the miles I have to split my runs between morning and night.

Well you are certainly getting the miles in so good for you, any way you slice it 9.2 miles is still 9.2 miles!!!

I had good intentions today to get in 8.2 miles and I felt good while doing the 5 but my head just wasn't in it I stopped to walk a couple of times and that just killed it for me!

feeling lazy today and tired! I can't wait for this week to be over, and then I am off for 11 days, home hanging out with the kids.

I was able to get in the 4.2 miles at work, but I should have come home and done another 4 miles instead I got on the computer and started playing with this elf yourself website, you upload pictures and it puts them on these dancing elves it's absolutely hysterical, the site is :

Welcome to the blog! How about putting in your marathon time in that side strip and how much you'd like to improve on and the next major race in your future? Best of luck getting your 40 miles for the week
